Essay Samples of David and Goliath

Essay Samples of David and GoliathThere are so many essay samples of David and Goliath. And one thing you will realize is that all the different scenarios can be applied to every personality type. Some people love the underdog, while others love the big guy. For most of us, we are drawn to the story of David and Goliath.Of course, there is more to this story than just the battle between two giants, but the bigger point here is that the tale of David and Goliath is powerful. Many people know the stories of King David and the giant Goliath. In the bible, David was a young man who loved Goliath and it was prophesied that he would defeat him in battle. But David could not do it alone, he needed help from his brother Jonathan and his father Absalom and soon enough David defeated Goliath.Another interesting story is that of Goliath and David. Of course, David's bodyguards were with him to protect him, but he had only a very small force. The giant was too strong, and David was badly wounded. After the battle, the two found each other and they married and the two had a son named Absalom. And so their story has continued on from that point. Each has had children, and the two have always stayed in the background, not in the fray.In this type of story, there is always an underdog, the smaller person who has risen above the odds and the historical account continues. For most of us, these types of stories seem real. There is also something fascinating about the underdog that draws us to it.Thegood story can have many subplots. Sometimes we can relate to what the underdog did, but often times, the good guy has to fight another type of foe that gets him down. The underdog can come back and the hero can get all the better because of it.In my opinion, essay samples of David and Goliath are more than just a literary device. They are an excellent example of an underdog rising above a bigger opponent.
